When will A Bolt from the Blue be released?
A: I am currently in the process of querying agents to help represent the book. After that, the next step is approaching publishers. There is no telling how long the process may take, but rest assured, I will let you all know as soon as I know!
Are you planning on a follow up book?
A: Absolutely! A Bolt from the Blue is the first in the series. I do plan to release other series set in the world of Ekunbi to follow the current series.
Why do you use R.A. Kissane as a pen name?
A: Part of my work as a contractor involves writing technical documents and I am also working on some nonfiction books which require my credentials and educational background. So to keep my different genres separate, I am using a family name for my fantasy fiction work.
Are you looking for an illustrator or graphic designer?
A: I personally have always loved illustrations and would be interested in having a small illustration at the chapter headings and cover art. However, that is a discussion I will need to have with any future agent I may be privileged to partner with. If you are interested, you can still send me your portfolios just know that it may be awhile until any decisions are made.
What is your favorite book?
A: Too many to choose. Some of my favorite authors are Kristen Britain, Tamora Pierce, Athol Fugard, Patricia Briggs, Seanan McGuire and Terry Pratchett.
